2012 NFL Draft: Oakland Raiders Mock Draft

Elias Trejo – Apr 2, 2012

The Oakland Raiders will enter the 2012 NFL Draft looking for depth. It appears they have filled most of their holes via free agency. This could give the Raiders the opportunity to draft the best player available, which is a tactic Reggie McKenzie and the Packers have used a lot before. Here is a mock draft showing possible picks the Raiders could make based on the best player available.

3rd Round Pick #95 - OLB Nigel Bradham Florida State

Bradham should be available when the Raiders are up for their first pick. He has a great college resume that includes leading the Florida State Seminoles in tackles for three straight seasons. His speed is ok for a linebacker, and he knows how to get to the football.

4th Round Pick #129:  DE Tyrone Crawford Boise State

Crawford was one of the best defensive players for Boise State. He could be available when the Raiders make their 2nd pick. He fits the mold that McKenzie likes. He may not be the fastest or strongest player, but he is a good football player. Standing at 6'4" and weighing at 275 pounds Crawford would add size to Oakland's offensive ilne.

5th Round Pick #148: MLB Audie Cole NC State

Oakland will be on the clock and could find that Cole is still on the board. McKenzie will be impressed with Cole's ability to stop the run and make tackles. He recorded over 200 tackles in his final two years with NC State. Cole will be selected to back up Rolando McClain.

5th Round Pick #168: DT Hebron Fangupo BYU

Fangupo should be sitting there when the Raiders pick in the 5th round. He could add size to Oakland's defensive line. He is 6'1" and weighs 323 pounds. In 2011 he had 26 tackles and six were for a loss. Oakland will be looking to add depth on defense as most of their losses have come on the offensive side of the ball.

6th Round Pick #189: HB Lennon Creer Louisiana Tech

The Raiders could be looking to add another running back. Creer is an interesting prospect that could be available late in the draft. Oakland could pick up the running back to help add depth to the position as they lost Rock Cartwright and Michael Bush. Creer could compete for the 4th running back position and play on special teams. He is 5'11 and weighs 219 pounds.
