Oakland Raiders Sign Former Cal-State Fullerton Basketball Player Andre Hardy

The Oakland Raiders have added another tight end to the mix as they have signed Andre Hardy according to their website. Hardy is a 6'5" 250 pound former basketball player that is looking to make the transition to tight end. Reggie McKenzie has said that he'd like to add another tight end to compete with David Ausberry, Richard Gordon, and Brandon Myers.
Oakland is hoping to get the same type of success that the San Diego Chargers have received from Antonio Gates and the New Orleans Saints are receiving from Jimmy Graham. Former basketball players are not new to the AFC West. Tony Gonzalez who was a former basketball player played for the Kansas City Chiefs before heading to Atlanta.
