Damali Binta – Apr 14, 2012
There are so many ways to get the atttention of talented, young Oakland Raiders. Selecting Napoleon Kaufman as the chaplain is certainly one way to set new standards for all Oakland Raiders, especially the running backs and fullbacks.
If you compare the performance of Darren McFadden with Napoleon Kaufman at 24 years old, you see that Kaufman's data exceeded McFadden at age 24. Similarly, if you compare Marcel Reece's performance with that of Kaufman, again you see that Kaufman's data looked better.
If a chaplain is to be a mentor for the Oakland Raiders, it certainly makes a lot of sense to select a legendary running back to set new standards in both on field and off field behavior.
Other comparisons in the data show that Kaufman is a worthy choice for a tough job during a challenging era in the history and development of the Oakland Raiders.
The charts telll the story. It is a good story of a former Oakland Raider who has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence.
At age 24, Kaufman had a very good year with a rushing y/a of 4.8 and a receiving y/r of 10.1.
At age 26, Kaufman had another good year with a rushing y/a of 5.2, and a receiving y/r of 10.1.
Kaufman qualifies for the job of chaplain in many categories, and the Raider Nation is pleased to have him return to the franchise.
