Oakland Raiders' LB Rolando McClain's Co-Defendant Pleads Guilty, Agrees To Testify Against McClain
– May 17, 2012
Oakland Raiders' linebacker Rolando McClain was absent at OTAs this week due to his legal situation in Alabama. He was temporarily excused since he's preparing to stand trial in Decatur Municipal Court on charges levied against him after an incident on Nov. 30, 2011 in Decatur, Alabama.
His friend and co-defendant Jaradious Willingham pled guilty to third degree assault Thursday, was sentenced to jail 90 days in jail and issued $300 in fines, while at the same time agreeing to testify against McCain.
The incident was filmed on a cell phone video from the night of the attack, it provides evidence that McClain was at the crime scene, but it does not present him engaging any physical harm on the victim.
***Update*** McClain has been sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Updates will be made as more information is released.
