Oakland Raiders: Al Davis to be Remembered in Las Vegas

Stuart Kovacs – Jul 3, 2012

Oakland Raiders’ legendary owner Al Davis will be remembered in a small gathering which will take place in Las Vegas at some point this week, according to Len Pasquarelli of The Sports Xchange.

The ceremony comes during the same week in which Davis would have turned 83 years old.

Pasquarelli notes that the congregation will include those who were considered to be close friends, family, and associates of Davis. It is not open to a large group of people in order to make the occasion more private.

“It will be a very quiet gathering, but The Sports Xchange has learned that family members and longtime friends and associates will get together in Las Vegas next week for a memorial to late Oakland owner Al Davis, who died October 8th, 2011”

The Raiders’ legend passed away this fall of last year after spending nearly 50 years with the organization.
