Oakland Raiders: Steve Wisniewski Reportedly Out as Assistant Offensive Line Coach
Stuart Kovacs – Jul 26, 2012
Oakland Raiders’ assistant offensive line coach Steve Wisniewski has reportedly left the team, according to Pat Kirwan of CBSSports.com.
On his Twitter page this morning, Kirwan said that Wisniewski “has cleared out his office and left the Raiders.”
Wisniewski, who played his entire 13-year career with the Silver and Black, would have been entering his second year as a member of the Raiders’ coaching staff.
With his departure, Frank Pollack, who is the team’s offensive line coach, will now assume full-time duty.
Pollack, who was the assistant offensive line coach for the Houston Texans since 2007, is in his first season with the Raiders.
It is still unclear why Wisniewski, whose nephew Stefen Wisniewski is the team’s starting center, has decided to leave the organization. However, it goes without saying that the entire Raider Nation does not want the former eight-time All-Pro to have any bad blood with the former Raider great.
