Oakland Raiders Sign Third-Round Draft Pick Tony Bergstrom
Stuart Kovacs – Jul 27, 2012
The Oakland Raiders have agreed to a four-year deal with offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network.
Bergstrom, who was the team’s third-round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, signed with only one day remaining before the Raiders report to training camp.
The former Utah Ute was a member of the 2011 All-Pac-12 First Team after making the All-Mountain West Second Team in 2010.
Bergstrom, who stands at 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds, looks to compete with Cooper Carlisle for the starting left guard spot.
However, a transition must be made as Bergstrom played mostly tackle while attending Utah.
The signing of Bergstrom leaves wide receiver Juron Criner as the only draft pick of the Raiders that remains unsigned.
