The following passage was taken from an interview with Tommy Kelly by San Francisco Chronical staff writer Vic Tafur.

Vic Tafur: (Rookie defensive end Jack) Crawford jumped out and made some plays. What are you impressions of him?

Tommy Kelly: I like Jack. I like all our rookies - Christo (Bilukidi), (Dominique) Hamilton, (Wayne) Dorsey - I like all of them. We got some good pups this year. The scouting department did a really good job.

Vic Tafur: Pups?

Tommy Kelly: Yeah, they can't talk or bark yet. Their opinions don't count yet. It's like, "Just, c'mon" (motions with hand)
