Stuart Kovacs – Aug 27, 2012
The Oakland Raiders have waived 12 players amid today’s 1:00 PM deadline to get the roster down to 75 players, according to the team’s official site.
The team waived linebacker Korey Bosworth, defensive lineman Mason Brodine, defensive lineman Wayne Dorsey, safety Aaron Henry, cornerback Terrail Lambert, wide receiver Thomas Mayo, wide receiver DeAundre Muhammad, quarterback Kyle Newhall-Caballero, safety Chaz Powell and fullback Manase Tonga.
The team also announced that they have waived-injured fullback Rashawn Jackson and offensive lineman Ed Wang. If both players pass through waivers, they will be added to the team’s injured reserved.
The Raiders roster now stands at 75 players.
The next major roster cut comes on Friday after the team’s fourth and final preseason game. Twenty-two more players will have to be cut before then.
Raider Nation Times will continue to monitor any player movement.
