Aaron Curry to Help With Fans Against Violence Rally in Phoenix: Raffles & Memorabilia to be Given Away!
John Doublin – Aug 31, 2012
In light of the recent shooting involving an Oakland Raiders' fan and a Phoenix Caridnals' fan at University of Phoenix Stadium following the NFL Week-2 Preseason game between the Raiders and the Cardinals, local fans of both the Raiders and Cardinals are holding a fundraiser to help finance the non-profit organization, Fans Against Violence, (FAV).
The Phoenician Raiders Booster Club and the Oakland Raiders Soldiers Booster Club-Phoenix Chapter, along with local Arizona Cardinals' fans are taking it upon themselves to have a car wash and raffle to raise money for the Bay Area-based anti-violence organization.
Raiders' star linebacker, Aaron Curry has also joined FAV's mission by donating tickets to an Oakland Raiders game, as well as several pieces of autographed memorabilia to be raffled off to a lucky winner. In addition, there is a framed, autographed photo of Cardinals' all-world receiver Larry Fitzgerald, (in his University of Pittsburgh uniform) to be raffled off, which was donated by Jeff Thalblum of Free Agent Sports Marketing of Phoenix.
All funds will go to FAV to help cover costs and aid in their crusade to "Take Back The Stands" and end fan violence at sporting events.
