Oakland Raiders: Team Signs Four Players to Practice Squad
Stuart Kovacs – Sep 1, 2012
The Oakland Raiders announced on Saturday that they have signed four players to their 2012 practice squad, according to the team’s official site.
After being waived on Friday, linebacker Kaelin Burnett, wide receiver Brandon Carswell, wide receiver Travionte Session, and linebacker Nathan Stupar were all added to the practice squad.
Stupar, who attended Penn State, was the only draft pick of the Raiders that did not make the 53-man roster.
Burnett and Session are both undrafted rookies out the University of Nevada while Carswell is an undrafted rookie out of the University of Southern California.
With the injuries to Aaron Curry at linebacker as well as Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford at wide receiver, it makes sense for the Raiders to add practice squad depth at those two positions.
After signing these four players to their practice squad, the Raiders still have four spots remaining.
Raider Nation Times will continue to monitor player movement during this busy point in the offseason.
