Oakland Raiders: Team Claims Three Players, Waives McCann Chekwa, Cumbie

The Oakland Raiders have claimed three players on waivers and have waived three, according to the team’s official Twitter page.
Cornerback Phillip Adams, linebacker Keenan Clayton, and offensive tackle Willie Smith are the three players that the Raiders have claimed.
Adams, 24, is in his third season out of South Carolina State. He has played for the San Francisco 49ers, the New England Patriots, and the Seattle Seahawks.
In 22 career games, Adams has accumulated one interception, two pass deflections and 16 tackles.
Clayton, 25, is in his third season out of Oklahoma. He has played in 21 games for the Philadelphia Eagles over the past two seasons.
Clayton has 33 tackles and 10 assisted tackles in his career.
Smith, 25, is in his second season out of East Carolina. He started in three games for the Washington Redskins during the 2011 NFL season.
In corresponding moves, the Raiders have waived cornerbacks Bryan McCann and Chimdi Chekwa and have waived/injured defensive lineman Jamie Cumbie.
Chekwa was the team’s fourth-round draft pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
