Oakland Raiders Search For Depth At CB: Sign Brandian Ross
– Sep 19, 2012
The Oakland Raiders are currently on the prowl for depth at the cornerback position after the loss to the Miami Dolphins Sunday and the loss of their starting cornerbacks Ron Bartell in the opener, and Shawtae Spencer in week two.
They opened by signing cornerback Brandian Ross. Ross was signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad, where he’d been there since the 2011 season. In the preseason he racked up 12 tackles. This roster spot was opened up Tuesday when long snapper Nick Guess was waived.
The Raiders also have brought in several cornerbacks for a workout they include Darius Butler, Cletis Gordon, Antwaun Molden and Kevin Thomas and are all being evaluated by the personnel staff.
