Oakland Raiders: It's Got to Get Better

The Oakland Raiders played a good game after Bye week, although the Atlanta Falcons won the game in the last few seconds. A field goal made the difference.

Carson Palmer's performance was outstanding. All that is needed is consistency, because I believe the Raiders can defeat the Jaguars.

If you look at the data, you see that the Raiders exceeded the Jaguars in total wins in 2011. Some of us are sitting on the edge of the bleachers, hoping that the Oakland Raiders will "just win, baby." Certainly, the perfornance during the Falcons-Raiders game shows that the Raiders have more bite and fight in their game.

It's good to know there will not be a blackout of the Raiders-Jaguars game. It indicates that the Raider Nation still has a lot of faith in their team.

It's a rough beginning in 2012, but we anticipate a powerful ending. It was so much fun to see the tie in the game with the Falcons. Unfortunately, the wrong team won in the last few seconds.  In the old days, it was George Blanda and his teammates who always seemed to come through at the end of a tight game.

Here's hoping some of that passion and cleverness will return to the Oakland Raiders in 2012.
