Oakland Raiders Vs Kansas City Chiefs: Statistical Match-up

– Oct 27, 2012

In an old fashion AFC West battle the Oakland Raiders (2-4) head to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs (1-5).

In the last four meetings the Raiders have controlled the series with the exception of the last October battle when Oakland was dominated due to the loss of quarterback Jason Campbell when he suffered a fractured collarbone. In the game the Raiders were in search for someone to pull the reins on offense but no-one rose to the occasion on that day.

For the Raiders they are in development mode and are learning new methods and schemes. As for the Chiefs  they seem to be losing their form and have not led in a game all season. The one game they won was in overtime.

For Kansas City, Brady Quinn will make his second start of his career at quarterback. While the Chiefs hazardous running game may get a little more help as running back Peyton Hillis appears to be healthy and may return to the lineup to help lighten the load for Jamaal Charles.

Chiefs' cornerback, Mr. Penalty himself, Stanford Routt, gets to face his former team. Look for him to make his number stand out somewhere on the Chiefs defense.

The Raiders are beginning to click on defense as they are improving every week against the rush. The Raiders' defense ranks 12th against the rush. While the offense, led by quarterback Carson Palmer who is slowly making his way up the rankings in passer rating, (86.6) and the passing game ranks in the top ten in the NFL.

Here is look at the statistics for the upcoming match-up.
