Oakland Raiders: TE Brandon Myers, T Khalif Barnes Eyeing Returns
– Nov 14, 2012
The Oakland Raiders received some welcome news out of Wednesday's practice session in the form of a return to the field for TE Brandon Myers. As Vic Tafur first reported, Myers' recovery must be satisfying all necessary concussion protocol, otherwise he would not be practicing so soon.
The team expects another return this Sunday at the O.Co Coliseum. RT Khalif Barnes is expected to make his first appearance for the Silver and Black since injuring his groin in the Week 2 setback to the Miami Dolphins. Coach Dennis Allen confirmed that “He looked good. He took a majority of the reps with the first team today.”
All of today's news was not as positive. Coach Allen also confrimed that RB Darren McFadden was still in a walking boot and missed Wednesday's practice session, further clouding is status for Sunday's game. Vic Tafur reported earlier in the day that in addition to McFadden, RB Mike Goodson, S Tyvon Branch, S Matt Giordano, and DT Richard Seymour did not participate in Wednesday practice.
