Oakland Raiders: Introducing Marcel Reece
– Nov 19, 2012
After rushing for 103 yards and on the receiving end of another 90 yards, Oakland Raiders' RB Marcel Reece put together a highlight reel on Sunday.
Reece, starting in place of injured running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson, showed the rest of the NFL what Raiders' fans have known for some time. In Reece, the Raiders possess a valuable hybrid player who is quickly establishing himself as a play maker in the league.
In a report by Vic Tafur, Reece was humble when speaking about his performance, but exclaimed that "stats are really irrelevant when you don't get the W."
It was obvious that the Raiders' game plan was refocused on a consistent rushing attack and Reece provided one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal team performance on Sunday in Oakland.
As Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson continue to rehab and work back into game shape, it will be interesting to see how Head Coach Dennis Allen plans to use the trio of McFadden, Goodson and Reece moving forward.
