2013 Oakland Raiders Schedule Announced

The Oakland Raiders schedule has officially been announced today. There are several key games for the Raiders especially looking at their first six games. Oakland opens the season visiting Andrew Luck and the Colts. Their first home game is in week two against the Jaguars. The very next week the Raiders open up AFC West play as they face the defending AFC West Champions in Denver. Oakland Raiders Sign Safety Reggie Smith

The Raiders signed Reggie Smith according to Reggie Smith on Twitter. Smith is the second safety signed by Oakland this week. He was drafted by the 49ers in 2008, but hasn't appeared in a game since 2011. Smith will get another opportunity to play in the Bay Area as he will suit up as a Raider. Smith has 60 total tackles and two interceptions in his career. He'll be fighting for a roster spot this off season.
Raiders Resign Joselio Hanson

The Oakland Raiders are busy today as they've made several moves. Their latest move is resigning cornerback Joselio Hanson. Hanson played in all 16 games last season and totaled 49 tackles and two interceptions. The Raiders appear to be rebuilding their secondary that needed much help in 2012. Hanson will join Mike Jenkins, Tracy Porter, Usama Young and Tyvon Branch as the new secondary in 2013.
Oakland Raiders Sign Running Back Rashad Jennings

According to multiple reports The Oakland Raiders have signed Rashad Jennings. Jennings is expected to back up Darren McFadden. Jennings is a quality back up. He averages 4.2 yards per carry for his career and has scored seven career touchdowns. Jennings may get a start or two during the season as McFadden has yet to play a full season.
Oakland Raiders Sign QB Seneca Wallace

According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com the Raiders have agreed to terms with Seneca Wallace. Wallace is a 10 year veteran that has spent time the Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns. He will compete come in to compete for the starting job, but will most likely take the 3rd string role with the Raiders. He joins Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor as the three quarterbacks on the roster.
Raiders Sign Safety Usama Young

The Oakland Raiders have announced they've signed Usama Young. He is yet another defender signed by the Raiders this offseason. Young will most likely start at safety next to Tyvon Branch. Young is coming off a career high 3 interceptions for the Cleveland Browns. Young started his career with the New Orleans Saints where he played for then secondary coach Dennis Allen.

Oakland Raiders Bring Back Andre Carter

The Oakland Raiders have re-signed defensive end Andre Carter to a one-year deal. Carter played well late in the season when given an opportunity. He recorded 2.5 sacks last season. Carter will join a defensive line that is in effective brand new. The Raiders lost four defensive linemen that played major minutes in 2012. The Raiders hope their defensive line in 2013 can provide more pressure to the quarterback.
